The Circus comes to Town

The Trayvon Martin case has become a racial circus with all the required players showing up for their performances.  The media were caught licking their lips immediately after the tragic incident in hopes of creating a black/white issue by using the label "white Hispanic" to describe George Zimmerman's race.  Professional race hustlers Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton took center stage at the first opportunity even though the facts in the case were yet to be released by the investigating police department.  The clown was sent in on cue when the President of the United States insisted on inserting himself into yet another racial quagmire.  Apparently, he didn't learn much from his last teachable moment.

I find it sad when a tragedy like this, with legitimate questions, devolves into this sort of racial/political football.  Sometimes, it is alright to question police; however, questioning before the release of all the facts while from a stance of wanting to create a racial divide is never acceptable.  I have no doubt that the Jackson/Sharpton freight train never had any desire to slow down and wait, or examine all the facts.  I am just as sure that they went out of their way to create a racial story, with the help of the media, when there wasn't one.  The media propped up this story long enough for it to take root in the national dialogue, and did their best to reinforce the racial element.

The case is starting to show the absolute worst in America from either side.  If you take the Martin side, for lack of a better term, you have vigilante justice run wild in Florida, or a full on race-based murder of a Skittle carrying kid, all the while with the local police winking and nodding as they release the killer.  If you take the Zimmerman side, you have race hustlers descending on a lawful self defense killing, and twisting it to use it for political gain while inciting a race war, as the mother of the deceased thug trademarks her son's name for a chance at some quick cash.  The whole thing turns my stomach.

What needs to happen is for the Sharpton/Jackson side show to pack their shit and go home.  Race needs to be taken out of the equation, and a full investigation into the facts of that night needs to begin.  If Zimmerman was in the wrong in some way; like shooting Trayvon from behind, or provoking him to an altercation...then Zimmerman should be tried and sentenced based on those facts.  But if the investigation turns up that Zimmerman was in the right, then MSNBC should fire Al Sharpton, so he and Jesse Jackson can crawl back under the rock they came from.   Well....I can wish anyway.

The fact is Sharpton and Jackson will be here to stay as long as race can be used as a constant blunt instrument in disagreements.  The progressive left has perfected its use so now it is interchangeable with words like Republican, Conservative, or White.  A conversation stops when throwing out, what should be, powerful labels like Hate or Racist.  That's the problem with political discourse these days...it's no longer a discussion.

Conspiracy a-go-go

What the hell is up with World Net Daily?  Why must they feed these lingering doubts I have with plausible stories?  Every time I read that damn site I fall deeper down a dark Marxist paranoid well.  Yesterday they brought us a story, that was also linked on The Drudge Report, about a mailman from Chicago who had Mary Ayers, the mother of Bill Ayers, on his route.  He shares a few stories including one where he meets a young Barack Obama.  A creepy feeling comes over me when he reveals Barack Obama stating at a young age that he will in fact become President of the United States.  I hate that feeling.  That feeling that it would probably be wise to look over your shoulder right about now.  The feeling that there are all sorts of shadowy figures and forces at work in the world making things happen behind the scenes.

What WND is good at is bringing all these little stories together.  Each one, by itself, is insignificant seeming, but when you gather them together they create a more compelling web.  They infer cabals gathering to select a candidate for grooming to ascend to the highest office in the country.  A candidate well versed in political and radical tactics, that would use those tactics to reshape the United States into a European Socialist clone in the very least.  See how frighteningly sexy that sounds?  No wonder I find myself shrugging off the confines of reason and plunging headfirst into the deep end of paranoia.

And yes....I am well aware that WND's nickname is World Nut Daily.

Over on the Breitbart sites we have seen a vetting going on dealing with Barack Obama's past and specifically his college days.  Their interest comes to a grinding halt when digging into the eligibility question though.  Part of me can't blame them since there are questions about the questions, and the "birther" label does far more damage than "Tea Party", or even "racist", it seems at the times.  (who am I kidding...those three labels get all jumbled up in what is the dry cleaning conveyor of the Mainstream Media)

Ben Shapiro makes it clear that the Breitbart sites won't be wasting resources on the eligibility issue since it makes him yawn.   He goes on to say that even if there were truth to the story there isn't anything anyone can do about it.  I say bring it all on.  Investigate everything, and leave no stone unturned in the #VetThePrez operation.  Even if nothing comes of it, at least it may place doubt in some independent voters minds.  Doubts that weren't there four years ago when they were swept up in the media lovefest for Barack Obama.  Those doubts could swing their vote away from him, and maybe we can get a change in the White House that really gives us hope.

Or at least helps us sleep at night again....

Down the Rabbit Hole

I've always had a soft spot for conspiracy theories.  I spent years devouring books about the JFK assassination.  One of my favorite books still to this day is the Illuminatus Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson which, at the time it was published, covered every possible conspiracy known to man.  However, over time I started to wean myself off of that world view.  It became very difficult to live a paranoid lifestyle all the time.   When the 9/11 conspiracies started rolling out, I was willing to say that a lot of the conspiracy theories were bullshit.  It's been said that people gravitate towards conspiracies because they are easier for us to process than accepting that the people we put in power might have failed us, or that nutjobs have the ability to threaten our American way of life.  I don't think that was my reasoning ... I enjoyed them more as a mental connect the dots.

Recently though I have felt the conspiratorial part of my brain kicking in again, and I have this administration to thank for it.  However, it isn't like you really need to peek behind too many curtains, since there are plenty of examples of the true nature of this administration that see the light of day.  It's no secret that President Obama has issues with our free market system (Obamacare, Green Energy), our military (worldwide apology tour, inserting into the Afghanistan Koran burning issue on the wrong side), or the founding principles of this country (Free markets, Freedom of Speech and Religion).  He has brought his Marxist-based ideas of wealth redistribution under the guise of "economic justice" into the White House.

So with all the obvious staring us in the face, is it any wonder that some of us start to question almost everything about the man that is President?  The folks at the Breitbart sites have started the vetting of Barack Obama that should have occurred four years ago by our traditional media.  Now we plainly see why his college days were a giant black hole when he was introduced on the national stage.  It's because it is full of radical ideology that isn't fit for the highest office in the Nation.  I guess I shouldn't have expected the Mainstream Media to dig too deep .... they obviously had their guy picked out.

What else is there?  Does the birth certificate really look legit?  Or are we too scared to be labeled as nuts by others?  How about his Selective Service application?  Was his rise to power orchestrated?  What about the more salacious rumors?  I really can't make the call on what is fact or fiction because Barack Obama never went through proper media vetting like certain Vice Presidential candidates did!

In the past we have had to rely on traditional media to give us information about who we are voting for.  Obviously they can't be trusted with that job, since even now they act like everything being revealed by the Breitbart sites is a non-story.   Thankfully we have the new media, and more people popping up as citizen journalists.  We have the duty to be vigilant citizens, and now we have the ability.  Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean this President isn't legitimate.

Preaching to the Choir

I took some time to digest the Barack Obama/Derrick Bell videos that were released on Wednesday night.  Earlier in the day I had watched the edited Buzzfeed video and was intrigued by the jump cut at the end.  Once it was announced they would run the unedited video on Hannity that night, I made sure to clear the calendar.

Honestly I was a little deflated in my initial reaction.  How could I not be? It was hyped all day that the early scoop by Buzzfeed was heavily edited.  It was promised that the full entire unedited dance remix version would be broadcast on Hannity.  So when I saw it and it was only about 20 seconds of extra footage that included a hug, I was let down.  However, I did find that the additional footage of Charles Olgetree joking about keeping the footage a secret in 2008 was compelling.  In the end, I left the TV feeling slightly unfulfilled.

All my doubts disappeared when I saw the Soledad O'Brien interview with Joel Pollak on CNN.  Soledad was condescending from the beginning, but Joel kept his cool and caught her in more than a few misrepresentations, and wouldn't let her push her view of it being a non story.  Then of course there was asshat Jay Thomas who pulled the race card right away without knowing a thing about Joel.  I still wonder if Joel should have sucker punched the moron with the facts about his wife.

It's always concerning when you realize you have been played by outside forces.  I realized that I had been manipulated to expect a "bombshell".  So when the video didn't reveal Barack Obama as the second shooter on the grassy knoll, I was let down.  They had played their game on me, and I had fallen for it.

It's obvious now that vetting this President probably won't bring me any new shockers.  I am, as are most on the conservative side, aware of who he hung around with and what his ideology is based in.  So when I see a new story about a new radical he embraced it doesn't have a huge impact on me.  But what the Breitbart sites are doing with this vetting isn't just for me.  It's for some of those independents out there that didn't get their current President vetted in 2008.  It's for those people that have heard the names Wright and Ayers but chose to buy Obama's excuse of not really knowing those colorful characters.  The Big sites are doing what the media and our candidate refused to do in 2008.  They are showing us just who is occupying our White House.  The legacy that was left behind by Andrew Breitbart is in good hands, and I'm looking forward to the next round.
